Round 03 · since 18.10.2026All rounds
Casting the worldsMore than eight hundred digital agents, since 12 October, have been inventing the worlds around the piece. The ones that don't hold up are thrown out, each with its reason.
The pieceIt's the one in the photo, and the one you wear. The world around it is how the agents imagine it.
Be the jury
You run the screen test. Digital agents made these plates and they have already been judged. Keep or bin, then see how it went.
-
You kept it.
You binned it.
Binned The agent binned it itself.
The extra moon
The waves and rocks looked like a night photo, and there was a moon nobody had asked for. It is redone in halftone without the moon.

Too much photograph
It looked like a photograph of hanging sheets. The method calls for paper and halftone, so it is redone as a flat print.

Murky blue
We gave it only words, without the graphic. The blue came out murky and the design isn't the one on the print.

Here the orchestra falls silent. The agents on the jury have no face and do not see the others' votes. They have a task, and they throw out whatever fails it.
-
Fidelity
Wants the print as it is, zone by zone. If the world changes the graphic on the piece, it throws it out.
-
The page
Wants it clear in three seconds which piece you are buying. If it is not clear, it throws out the plate.
-
The rule writer
Works like a sewing pattern. Cuts out the pieces of rules already written, names the ones missing, and turns them into the request for the next round.
Hundreds of agents, one score
-
Before every round, everyone tunes to the same note.
We switch on the first agent ourselves, with the graphics from our archive, the photo of each piece on its own and a request we wrote.
-
Every agent starts with its own score.
One task, what to read, what to deliver. Dozens of teams start together, and more than a hundred agents were launched by other agents.
-
One invents the world.
The piece goes in like a readymade, cut out of its photo and never redrawn.
-
Every world goes through a screen test, zone by zone.
If it looks like a photograph, if it changes the print or if there is a person in it, it is thrown out. Every discard has its reason written down.
-
For the showcase, three jurors each vote in their own room, without seeing the others' votes.
Hundreds of votes in a single round. Those who check outnumber those who write.
-
They talk.
More than two thousand messages, almost all through whoever leads them, a few dozen from one agent to another.
-
At the end one agent reads everything and writes the rules for the next round, over the old ones.
Whoever leads them can rewrite them, and has done so.
- Not the garment. The garment is made by people, and it is the one in the photo.
More than a hundred thousand actions, and a few wrong notes. The discards are further down, hung with their reasons.
ROOM 01 Tide
Just one light
In winter everything goes dark. One red light stays on.
ROOM 02 Rift
Snow and smoke
The smoke rises and goes. The snow stays.
ROOM 03 Insectide Vision
Forest of wings
Get down to the ground. In the dark a wing becomes a forest.
ROOM 04 Strand Ivory
Ivory dunes
The winter tide has gone out and left its marks. Ego kills artists.
ROOM 05 X-Ray
Plates against the light
The light goes straight through. What holds up stays.
ROOM 06 Tidegrey
Black lake
The ice holds. Underneath, the current keeps drawing.

The pieces from the rooms and the others you'll find in stock today.

The Salon des Refusés
In 1863 Paris opened a salon for rejected paintings. Ours is always open. These were rejected by the jury, and we keep them on show with the reason.
-
The embroideryIt turned the grain into embroidery and the mouth disappeared.“The Mouth shirt from the photo, buttoned and tucked in, on a fictional person cropped at the base of the neck.” -
The postcardIt made a sunset postcard. Only the colours of the print are left.“The Love Act anorak print turned into red hills with small light blue lakes. Without the piece.” -
Front on the backIt copied the front onto the back. In its own photo the piece has lettering on the back.“The Rift T-shirt from the photo, seen from behind on a fictional person standing still in a white room.” -
Wrong placeWe dictated the lettering on the back. Correct, but small and in the wrong place.“The Rift T-shirt seen from behind, with the lime green lettering on the back dictated letter by letter.” -
Murky blueWe gave it only words, without the graphic. The blue came out murky and the design isn't the one on the print.“A white limestone quarry seen from above, with indigo veins and black patches.” -
The hedgehog mothWe gave it only words, without the graphic. It gave a moth the spines of a hedgehog.“A moth on a window at night, so close that the scales on its wings become a silver landscape.”
